This week's Newsletter is necessarily brief with some items of current news that confirm the signs of the times but no Scriptural message since it was 'all hands on deck' for Sydney's inaugural Christian Resources Exhibition where our stand was called "In the days of the Voice . . ." All major denominations were represented together with a number of "traders".
We presented a new color video on the life and ministry of William Branham, "Footprints on the Sands of Time" with rare footage illustrating some amazing prophecies God has fulfilled in our lifetime, and explaining the present Truth—what Jesus is doing now.
The backdrop to our display featured a five-foot photograph of the sign of Christ's 'parousia' which appeared above Arizona on February 28, 1963 taken from the May 17, 1963 issue of Life Magazine together with enlarged photographs of the Shekinah manifest on other occasions.
We displayed a selection of books, Message CD's, video films and volumes of the inspired books "Revelation of the Seven Seals" and "An Exposition of the Seven Church Ages" and were able to introduce the Message in some depth to a number of ministers, Christian workers and lay persons.

The Phoney War in Afghanistan
The current "war" on Afghanistan terrorism is a misdirection and a hoax. As pointed out in the book "Black Gold Hot Gold" the oil expected to flow from the vast oilfields under the Russian Caspian Sea, discovered about 20 years ago remains undrilled and untapped. That field contains about 500 years worth of oil at present world consumption rates.
The only possible oil pipeline routes at the present time to handle the massive flow of oil from the Caspian Sea region under Chenya is either through Kosovo to the Mediterranean Sea, or through Afghanistan and Pakistan to the Indian Ocean. Two years ago, the Clinton administration attempted to place Kosovo under international control and begin pipeline construction, but was unable to complete the process. Full story: disc.server.com
Operation 911: No Suicide Pilots

US PATRIOT Bill Approved
The US House Judiciary Committee has just approved the PATRIOT bill in a unanimous vote of 36-0 and very shortly PATRIOT will be sent to Congress for a large-scale vote. PATRIOT stands for "Provide Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism" and gives the State unprecedented surveillance powers over the American people in the name of the War on Terrorism.
In essence, the bill provides additional powers for:
• ease of police eavesdropping on the Internet
• expanded information-sharing between police, the CIA and similar agencies, and potentially intrusive surveillance of users by their Internet providers.

US Catches Fleas from Israeli Dog
As the US seeks to find terrorist leader Osama bin Laden, "dead or alive," as President Bush said, a public-interest legal watchdog group is calling for the formal lifting of the executive order that banned political assassinations of this kind.
The US Justice Foundation says such targeted killings are not prohibited by the US Constitution, the Hague Convention or the United Nations Charter.
In a paper written by Gary Kreep, the executive director of the group, and Richard D. Ackerman, litigation counsel for the organization, the case is made for President Bush to overturn Executive Orders 11905 and 12333, signed by President Gerald Ford in 1976. Full story: worldnetdaily.com
Pope Warns on Rift between Vatican Hawks & Doves
Vatican City (AFP) October 2, 2001 — An unprecedented public split between Vatican hawks and doves over the appropriate reaction to the anti-US terror attacks prompted a reminder in the Vatican's official newspaper Tuesday that the Pope's word is final—and that he is a dove in this context.
Catholic doctrine . . . states that Catholics should seek peace but have a right of self-defence. . . Official spokesman for the Vatican, Joaquin Navarro-Valls, has also been quoted as saying that a US strike against Afghanistan would not be an attack but ". . . a preventive action against a menace which has already shown itself in the horror of recent weeks and which could be repeated."

Vatican Officially Converting to Euro
Vatican City (CWNews.com) September 7, 2001 — The Vatican has confirmed that the euro will be its official unit of currency, as of January 1, 2002. The official announcement adopting the euro was published in Acta Apostolicae Sedis, the official publication of Vatican actions, on September 6. . . Comment: The globalisation process towards the fulfilment of the 1773 original banking program, is driven to control world events by a spirit, Judaic in ethic, and dependant for success on the annihilation of its Christian opposite of service.
It seems that the high priesthood of Judaism had reason to believe that victory over Christianity was imminent when, as reprinted in the New York Magazine January 18, 1972, Zionist spokesman Rabbi Martin Sugal stated, "I am devoting my lecture in this seminar to the discussion of the possibility that we are now entering a Jewish century, a time when the spirit of community, the non ideological blend of emotional and rational and resistance to categories and forms, will emerge through the forces of anti-nationalism (multi-culturalism?) to provide us with a new society. I call this process the Judaization of Christianity, which will be the vehicle by which this society will become Jewish".
That process was given a boost at the second Vatican Council when on November 19, 1964 Catholic prelates voted overwhelmingly on a schema dealing with the attitude of the Church towards Judaism. And his words were prophetic as this decision expressed itself in the May 1992 statement by the Australian Catholic Bishops Commission declaring Catholic origins in Judaism.
The Vatican, departing from tradition by reversing Church teaching to embrace Judaism's destructive principal of world domination, automatically, in accordance with Talmudic law, cancels out Catholic belief in Christ's Divinity, the ultimate betrayal of Catholicism.
The neutralizing of the militant Christian spirit is due largely to the contradictory term "Judaeo-Christian" and "Jesus was a Jew," that is, he practiced Judaism, the religionised law of the Pharisees, which he condemned.
Rabbi Stephen Wise, leading Zionist organizer in the United States during the 1910-1950 period, confirmed the above words by stating, "The return from Babylon and the adoption of the Babylonian, Talmud marked the end of Hebrewism and the beginning of Judaism." It is well known among students of the Talmud that it is diametrically opposed to every law of the Bible'.
As service-oriented Christian-based law is being replaced gradually by control-oriented Judaic international treaties with the promise of a future 'boot in the face' UN World Government. . . , we had better revert to the supernatural militancy of true Christianity and get Independents into Government (Kevin Thompson 61-2-6685-1719).
Networks Plan on Blaspheming God
Los Angeles (NewsMax) September 4, 2001 — The headline on Page 1 of the New York Times (September 2) screamed "As Cable Applies Pressure, Network TV Spouts Expletives."
The major TV networks are planning a full-scale attack on traditional values and sensibilities with this fall's upcoming TV season . . . ABC, CBS and NBC are considering dropping many of the few remaining standards on network prime-time TV programs—and will likely allow expletives and four-letter words never spoken before on broadcast TV. . .
Aaron Sorkin, the executive producer of "The West Wing," told the Times he is planning for "a character to curse in a way that uses the Lord's name in vain."
Sorkin and his cronies at NBC are not the only ones trying to undermine civility. Other plans being touted by the networks include:
a.. ABC's "Philly" is planning on using the word "Sh—"—which has never aired before on an ABC program.
b.. CBS executives have told the Times they are considering "scripts for programs that include every crude word imaginable"—including the "F" word that has never been uttered on broadcast TV. . .
c.. CBS will air "Wolf Lake"—a new TV show about a fictional town where people can become wolves. The program will begin with a nudity warning, and CBS executives told the Times "the first episode contains a particularly revealing sex scene."
The free-for-all attitude on the use of expletives and shocking scenes doesn't come in a vacuum. . . Little by little, broadcast networks have been tackling industry standards and challenging public decency—with no complaint from the Federal Communications Commission. Full Story: NewsMax.com

Survival Message For College Students
August 29, 2001 (Phyllis Schlafly) — Students starting college this fall need survival instructions to enable them to understand the jargon and prepare for the challenge of strange encounters.
The prevailing environment on most college campuses is Political Correctness (PC)—in faculty bias, course content, visiting speakers, and organizations and events funded by student fees. Here are the principal tenets of the campus dogma known as Political Correctness:
1. Everything is political. All academic subjects must be seen through the prism of gender and race oppression, including history, literature, social relationships, and even private conversation.
Most students encounter this immediately in their freshman English class. The writings of the DWEMs (Dead White European Males) have been censored out and replaced with Oppression Studies: writings by third-rate authors who whine about America's oppressive society.
2. Victimology. Every group is entitled to claim minority status as victims except white males and Christians.
3. Multiculturalism. That's a code word for the false notion that Western Civilization is bad and every other group, whether civilized or not, is superior. Multiculturalism is the only required course at all 16 SUNY (State of New York) universities.
4. Radical feminism. The entire world must be seen as one big conspiracy against women, and all men are guilty, both individually and as a group. Joking about this doctrine is not permitted; several colleges have even banned jokes.
At the University of California-Davis, law review policy is to use the female pronoun as a matter of course, except when referring to a criminal defendant, when a male pronoun is preferred. At Arizona State University, drama professor Jared Sakren was fired for producing Shakespeare's "Taming of the Shrew"; Shakespeare is not P.C.
5. Affirmative action. Reverse discrimination in admissions, grading, and employment for groups that proclaim their status as "victims" is not only mandatory, it is non-debatable.
6. Having sex with anybody, anytime, is OK and may not be criticized. Dating is out; "hooking up" is in. The social acceptance of pre-marital and homosexual sex and activism is non-debatable.
7. Tolerance. That's a code word meaning tolerance for Politically Correct views, but not for the Politically Incorrect. Tolerance requires conformity to PC views, and hundreds of colleges have speech codes.
Christianity is Politically Incorrect. In some colleges, students are not permitted to turn in papers that identify historic dates as B.C. (Before Christ) or A.D. (Anno Domini), but must use B.C.E. (Before the Common Era) and C.E. (Common Era). Here is some additional advice for freshmen seeking a real education.
Don't waste your tuition dollar on worthless courses. Avoid such courses as "Sorcery and Magic" at Columbia, "Queer Theory, Queer Texts" at Dartmouth, "Lesbian and Gay Detective Fiction" at Berkeley, and "Feminist Biblical Interpretation" at Harvard.
Even elite colleges now offer courses in horror movies, rock music, witchcraft, porn studies, and subjects that focus on the trivial and the trashy or sexual politics. Such courses are not education; they are propaganda, entertainment, or behavior modification to impose the new P.C. absolutism of antagonism to religion and tradition.
These courses are one reason why college tuition is so high. Students, parents and taxpayers are paying for high-priced professors to teach so many non-educational courses.
Students should avoid wasting their education dollar on women's studies courses, most of which are propaganda for radical feminist, and often lesbian, ideology and behavior. The Big Mama of women's studies is the bitter French spinster Simone de Beauvoir, author of "The Second Sex" and the famous line that "marriage is an obscene bourgeois institution."
Beware of the corruption in the English departments that teach "deconstructionism"—the prejudice that there is no such thing as a classic and that literature means what the reader wants it to mean instead of what the author intended. Beware of the corruption in the Sociology departments that teach that marriage is a dismal prospect for all, especially for women.
Beware of the corruption in the Economics departments that teach the failed economics of socialism rather than the successful free-market economics of Adam Smith and Milton Friedman. Beware of the math and science courses taught by instructors who don't speak understandable English.
Beware of freshman orientation. You might be asked to role-play what it's like to be gay, asked to publicly describe your first sexual experience, or told that if you object to coed bathrooms you need psychological counseling.
Finally, don't think you are getting a good education just because you get A's. Grade inflation is designed to make you and your parents feel good about the grossly inflated tuition price you are paying.
Desert Dust Kills Florida Fish
Florida August 30, 2001 — Without warning, the sea turns a shade of reddish brown, killing scores of fish and other marine life—and making the water an unwelcome place for humans . . . a new study, partially funded by NASA, has revealed a surprising connection between red tides in the Gulf of Mexico and giant dust clouds that blow across the Atlantic Ocean from the distant Sahara Desert. NOAA and NASA satellites can spot such dust clouds en route from Africa to the Americas . . .
Storm activity in the Sahara Desert region kicks up fine particles from the arid topsoil there, generating vast clouds of dust. Easterly trade winds carry the dust across the Atlantic Ocean and into the Gulf of Mexico.
