Same thing it is right here in the Gentile church now. It's an elected group. You can't pull them in that kind of stuff. They won't believe it. No, sir. When the Light once struck them, that settles it right then... (Seals - 63-0324.2E.)
You just might as well just quit fooling with them because they believe it. That's all. That's all. Though they can't explain it, but they know they've got it. As I say, "There's a lot of things I can't explain, but I know it's real anyhow." (Seals - 63-0324.2E.)
Resting upon His ability! That's my hope and stay. I'm resting upon His ability. I'm resting upon what I am; what He is. I'm resting upon His promise because He made the promise and He swore to the promise. (The Comforter - 61-1001E.)
Some one said to me once, "Brother Branham, aren't you afraid when you go to the pulpit there, and are called to a showdown? Aren't you afraid sometimes standing in that line, there will be a mistake?" No, Sir! I'm not afraid, because I solemnly rest upon His Word, "I'll be with you" when He said to me that night. "No man shall stand before you all the days of your life," He said, "I'll be with you." And He has cut off every enemy. He has stood by me when I wasn't deserving to be stood by. But because He promised it, because of His grace, I've rested solemnly upon that Word. Why? Because He promised it! He promised it, He is able to keep what He promised. That's right.
Ruth, making her decision a type of the Church, the Gentile Church. She decided, and crossed over into the land. Now, a lot of times, we Methodist and Baptist, we think that's all you have to do. She just got started! She hadn't got nowhere yet, she just got over into the land. (Revelation Ch 5 #II - 61-0618.)
Now, the next thing she had to do, she had to work. She become a legalist. She had to "work out her own salvation with fear and trembling" like you did. She went out into the field and put her clothes upon her, and went out into the field and gleaned behind the maidens in order to get sustaining food for the day. Is that right? What was she doing? She was trying to find favor with Boaz. So she worked her way through the stage of legalism.
And that's exactly what the Church did. The Luther's believed It by faith and come into the land. But the Methodist taught sanctification, which was the legalistic standpoint of It, see, "You've got to do something. I got to quit! I got to let my hair grow out," said the woman. Course, they don't do it no more; but they—they did do it, let their hair grow out. They had to quit wearing the paints in their faces. They didn't wear their—their skirts wrong and, or, short like the others did. They had to do something. See? That's what she did, the state of justification, the state of sanctification.
Now, when finally she found favor with Boaz, what happened? Then Naomi told her, "You wait here while Boaz does the work of a kinsman redeemer, 'cause he is the only one that can do it. He is our next kinsman redeemer, and you just wait here. Don't go in the fields no more. Don't do this, that, or the other. You just wait until the kinsman redeemership has been fulfilled." And she rested. Amen!
That's exactly what the Church has come to in this last stage of Pentecost. See? In the beginning of Pentecost they all worked up and they "had to do this," and they shook them and everything else. Now what is the Church doing, the true Church? Is just resting. What is Rest? Here it is, Rest is the "Holy Spirit," the Sabbath day. (The Seventh-day Adventists want to tell us, you know, about being the seventh-day Sabbath or something like that.) In Hebrews the 4th chapter, said, "We which have entered into His Rest have ceased from our works as God did from His." So the Sabbath is the Holy Spirit.
And when Ruth was resting, it was a type of the Church resting in the promises of God! We have the Earnest now of our salvation. We're not worried whether we're going over there or not, we're going! That's right. God said so! God promised it and we've got the Earnest (amen), done been received, Christ has accepted us. No way to get away from It now, we're there! Amen! All we have to do is just wait till the... He takes, He's down doing the Kinsman Redeemership. We have the Earnest of it right now, waiting for the time that when He comes back. (Revelation Ch 5 #II - 61-0618.)
Moses. Notice, a very, very real type of our One that was given to bring us to the Promised Land, Christ. Now we have a promise, 'cause our promise is spiritual Rest, where, theirs was physical rest. And so they was coming to a land that they could say, "This is our land, we are no more wanderers we've settled down, this is our land, and here we have rest. (Adoption #II - 60-0518.)
"Thus saith the Lord, It'll take perfect love to put you in that place, for that's all there was there." (Adoption #IV - 60-0522.2E.)
When we enter into God, we rest all the time; not from one Sunday to another. We rest, Eternal. You got Eternal Life. The Holy Spirit gives you Rest. (Unfailing Realities of the Living God - 60-0320.)
And the separating time is NOW taking place, when God's a-calling a Bride, and the devil is calling a church. (Ashamed - 65-0711.)
God's a separator, not a mixer. (Feast of Trumpets - 64-0719M.)
God had to separate Cain's people from Seth's people.
Can a man who believes in all the Word of God have a unity with them who just believes part of the Word of God? God wants separators.
That same Devil got among them and brought them together again. What happened? How did he do it? "The sons of God, seen the daughters of man." (Oneness - 62-0211.)
Look what happened! Why? The same God that separated and come to Abraham and showed him the vindication of his separation... Uhm! O God! How I wish I could just could do something to let you see It. God showed Abraham, being that he had separated himself, He showed him the a-vindication of it, that He was with him and right in his midst. And Jesus said the same thing will take place in the last days. Not a nation was Abraham, he was in the minority, but God was with him. He had separated him then. We're supposed to separate ourselves in this last days.
Stay with God's Word, It's THUS SAITH THE LORD. Stay with His Word. To separate from It is breaking your fellowship with God, God's oneness by the Holy Spirit. Then if you say you got the Holy Spirit and it's not in agree with the Word, then you're not oneness with God. (Oneness - 62-0211.)
They seen the glory of God; they walked in the Light of the... They walked in the Light. They walked in the Light of the Pillar of Fire. They walked in the presence of His power. They walked through the places that the Holy Spirit made for them to walk. They eat the manna that fell out of Heaven that God provided and lost and went to hell. They're everyone dead and if you take that word, it's Eternal separations from the presence of God. (Seals - 63-0317.1M.)
Brother, has God give you a spirit of this world till you can't see that that's wrong? Has he blinded your eyes to the ethics of the church, the denomination, the creed, and so forth, that you can't see that God is vindicating His Word and making It so? Has your job, has your boss, has your wife, has your children, has your church, or anything, separated you from the Word of God, which is the only source of Life? Flee it, my brother. (God of This Evil Age - 65-0801.1M.)
Notice, here it is! And when Israel, before they could come into fellowship in the worship, they had to first pass through the waters of separation—justification by ... Faith cometh by hearing; hearing the Word. Then they entered into the congregation under those seven stripes, the blood, to show that something died and went before them for their sin. They were separated by hearing the Word, the Waters of separation, then entered into fellowship. (Thinking Man's Filter - 65-0822.2E.)
Now do you understand what we have said? That it is absolutely impossible for a borned-again Christian (that ... I don't mean now he calls hisself borned-again, I mean a real borned-again Christian) to ever fall from grace. He cannot do it. He can fall, that's right, but he cannot (never) get out of that grace. Abraham fell from grace, sure he did, God told him to "stay there," he went out of it, but he never lost his covenant. He was still God's chosen. He was a prophet setting there. He will... always was. He will always be God's. (Hebrews Ch 6 #II - 57-0908.2E.)
Remember, if you don't walk up to the correction, and you do something wrong as a Christian, God will warn you, and then if you don't take the warning, He will just take you right off the earth. That's what He done.
So God cannot lose you after He's saved you, but He can shorten your days here, and make you pay for every sin you've done. So if you sin, you're going to have to pay for what you've done. Just remember that. (Hebrews Ch 6 #II - 57-0908.2E.)
But when you come to say, "I and my Father are one, and these other things, then the shuck pulls away from it. (Seed Is Not Heir With the Shuck - 65-0218.)
Know ye not that Jesus Christ is in you except ye be reprobates. (II Corinthians 13:5.)
And this that comes among us as a Pillar of Fire, as something that changes our hearts, that is the same God that said, "Let there be light," and there was light! He's the same yesterday, today, and forever (Melchisedec - 65-0221.2E.)
But there is another dimension that can be seen by a transformation by television. Now, television does not manufacture a picture. A television only channels it into a circuit, and then the television screen picks it up. But the picture's there to begin with. Television was here when Adam was here. Television was here when Elijah set on Mount Carmel. Television was here when Jesus of Nazareth walked the shores of Galilee. But you're just now discovering it. They wouldn't have believed it back there. You'd have been crazy to have said something like it. But now it's become a reality! And so is it that Christ is here! The Angels of God are here! And someday in the great Millennium to come it'll be just more real than television or anything else, because they are here! Now, here He is in the form of Spirit.
You became from the attribute to the flesh to be tempted. (Melchisedec - 65-0221.2E.)
Notice how ridiculous that the Word of God to a people who's supposed to believe It, and yet It's so unusual they cry out, "Well, what's this? Where'd you get that stuff? Who is this? What is this?" When they ought to have been screaming, "Hosanna to the King that cometh in the Name of the Lord." (But there's just a little group doing that, just a little group.) Of four thousand years of prophecy, for the greatest thing that could ever happen to the nation, for all the hope of the dead rested upon It, all the future laid in It, and the religious people that claimed they believe It was screaming out, "Who is It? And what's this attraction?" Something unusual! About the same, it just don't change, now unusual. (What Is the Attraction on the Mountain - 65-0725.2E.)
That was the attraction at the Dead Sea. What was the attraction in the second day after that, at Mount Sinai, when all the people was commanded not to come at their wives, when they was asked to wash their clothes and sanctify themself, and gather around the mountain where a man by the name of Moses had said he met God in a Pillar of Fire? And God had said to Moses, "I'm going to come down amongst the people. I'm going to confirm that what I told you and Who I am, I'm going to show them that I am that God." That was the attraction, God fulfilling His Word.
Satan is defeated! The stripes of Jesus Christ healed you, and the Presence of Jesus Christ verifies the fact that He's a-living today, ever able to keep every promise that He made. (What Is the Attraction on the Mountain - 65-0725.2E.)
See that Holy Spirit can fall upon a man in his spirit, but his soul is his germ. That germ is the Word. See? (Christ Is Revealed in His Own Word - 65-0822.1M.)
No matter how good, how bad, whatever, you're in that Kingdom by Holy Ghost baptism. See? That's the only way you'll overcome. It's all that is under the shed Blood is overcomers, 'cause you cannot overcome yourself, it's He that overcome for you. You're resting. (How Can I Overcome - 63-0825.1M.)
We call Him a meek Man; He was, but many times we misunderstand what meekness is. He was a Man of compassion, but yet we fail sometimes to understand what compassions is. Not human sympathy isn't compassion, but compassion is doing the will of God. (This Day This Scripture Is Fulfilled - 65-0219.)
Think of love and grace as sisters, twin sisters. You can't have grace without having love. They're twin sisters. Exactly right. Before you can have grace, you have to have love. (Message of Grace - 61-0827.)
That's what it is, grace, the grace of God. The grace of God has brought forth a shadow ... God brought grace into our lives by His love for us. Here's something else grace can't do: grace cannot be bought, grace cannot be sold. It's grace! It's by a sovereign One. Yes, sir. You cannot bargain for it. You can say, "God, I'll do so-and-so if You'll do so-and-so." You can't do that. God won't do it. You can't pull nothing out of God. God gives it to you by His grace.
You're not even saved just because you preach. You're not saved because you speak with tongues. You're not saved because you do any of these things. I Corinthians 13 proves so, "Though I speak with tongue of men and Angels, though I understand all the mysteries of God (a preacher), though I do all this, and have faith to move mountains, I am nothing until charity comes in, which is love." Love is grace. The grace of God that does all. God's grace cannot be bargained for, "Nothing in my arms I bring, simply to Thy cross I cling." (Message of Grace - 61-0827.)
So it's not you that keeps yourself, it's the grace of God that keeps you. You didn't save yourself, or nothing you've done to deserve being saved, it's God's grace that saved you. (Hebrews Ch 7 #I - 57-0915.2E.)
So how can you say it's something you could do? It's nothing you can do. It's God's love and grace to you, that you're even here. Nothing you could do, God called you by His grace; you listened, heard, accepted.
"Well," you say, "Brother Branham, that makes it awful loose." Certainly, it does. You're free. "Well, that fellow can do anything he wants to." Absolutely! I always do what I want to do, but if you're a Christian, you don't want to do wrong. (Hebrews Ch 7 #I - 57-0915.2E.)
