Sephardi Leader Yosef: Non-Jews exist to serve Jews
Jerusalem, October 18, 2010 — Israeli Sephardic leader Rabbi Ovadia Yosef in his weekly Saturday night sermon said that non-Jews exist to serve Jews. "Goyim were born only to serve us. Without that, they have no place in the world; only to serve the People of Israel," he said during a public discussion of what kind of work non-Jews are allowed to perform on Shabbat. "Why are gentiles needed? They will work, they will plow, they will reap. We will sit like an effendi and eat," he said to some laughter. Yosef, the spiritual leader of the Shas Party and the former chief Sephardi rabbi of Israel, also said that the lives of non-Jews are protected in order to prevent financial loss to Jews.
"With gentiles, it will be like any person: They need to die, but God will give them longevity. Why? Imagine that one’s donkey would die, they'd lose their money. This is his servant. Bill Gates says Vaccines can help reduce World Population
October 01, 2010 — Microsoft billionaire Bill Gates, who has donated hundreds of millions of dollars to new vaccine efforts, speaks on the issue of CO2 emissions and its effects on climate change. . . Then he adds . . . "The world today has 6.8 billion people... that's headed up to about 9 billion. Now if we do a really great job on new vaccines, health care, reproductive health services, we could lower that by perhaps 10 or 15 percent". . .
Clearly, this statement implies that vaccines are a method of population reduction. . . Bill Gates seems to be saying that one of the primary purposes is to reduce the global population as a mechanism by which we can reduce CO2 emissions. Perhaps not coincidentally, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has funneled hundreds of millions of dollars into vaccine programs targeting people all over the world. One such program is researching the development of "sweat-triggered vaccines" that could use specially-coated nano-materials to deliver vaccines to people without using injections. Three Sides of the Same Figure: Blackwater, Monsanto, and Gates
October 14, 2010 — A report by Jeremy Scahill in The Nation (Blackwater's Black Ops, 9/15/2010) revealed that the largest mercenary army in the world, Blackwater (now called Xe Services) clandestine intelligence services was sold to the multinational Monsanto. . . Almost simultaneously with the publication of this article in The Nation, the Via Campesina [International Peasant Movement] reported the purchase of 500,000 shares of Monsanto, for more than $23 million by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, which with this action completed the outing of the mask of "philanthropy." Another association that is not surprising.
It is a marriage between the two most brutal monopolies in the history of industrialism: Bill Gates controls more than 90 percent of the market share of proprietary computing and Monsanto about 90 percent of the global transgenic seed market and most global commercial seed. There does not exist in any other industrial sector monopolies so vast, whose very existence is a negation of the vaunted principle of "market competition" of capitalism. Both Gates and Monsanto are very aggressive in defending their ill-gotten monopolies . . . their "donations" finance projects as destructive as geoengineering or replacement of natural community medicines for high-tech patented medicines in the poorest areas of the world. What a coincidence, former Secretary of Health Julio Frenk and Ernesto Zedillo are advisers of the Foundation.
Like Monsanto, Gates is also engaged in trying to destroy rural farming worldwide, mainly through the "Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa" (AGRA). It works as a Trojan horse to deprive poor African farmers of their traditional seeds, replacing them with the seeds of their companies first, finally by genetically modified (GM). To this end, the Foundation hired Robert Horsch in 2006, the director of Monsanto. Now Gates, airing major profits, went straight to the source. . .

The Road to World War III: Global Banking Cartel has One Card left to Play
September 26, 2010 — [T]he IMF and global banking cartel are setting the conditions for social unrest and pushing for policies that will provoke it, and the Pentagon is preparing for a military response. As scary and unbelievable as all this may sound, we are on a fast track to this scenario.
The American and global economy have already been looted and destroyed beyond repair. Most serious economists will admit that governments have already exhausted their capital by bailing out the banks and taking on unprecedented amounts of debt. The bailouts and recent return to high profits were just the final phase of the looting and a further consolidation of wealth on an unprecedented scale. There are still tens of trillions of dollars in debt hidden off-the-books and hundreds of trillions of dollars in dark pools of derivative liability. As the downturn continues, there is nothing left to revive the economy, the reserves and safety nets have already been stretched to their limits.
We have a political and economic system that has been overrun by organized corruption and theft. Along with a mass media system that does not inform the populace and has effectively marginalized and isolated the majority of the population. Meanwhile, bubbling just under the surface is a very heavily armed population with a militia movement that has doubled in size over the past year, and their memberships continue to rapidly grow. Without the necessary general political intelligence or infrastructure to organize an effective mass non-violent movement, we are steamrolling toward spontaneous riots and outbursts of armed insurrection.

As time passes, these forgotten and isolated people, tens of millions of them, are quickly running out of options, and they will act out just as exploited people throughout the world always have. . . How will they maintain their power over an increasingly radicalized and hostile US population? The tactics of their divide and conquer strategy are already on full display. Their mainstream media outlets have drastically increased coverage and focused attention on the rhetoric of division—using divisive issues like immigration, racism, religious bigotry, [the climate change, carbon tax HOAX, BP Gulf oil spill], the 'lazy unemployed,' 'entitlement welfare' and gay marriage to divide and distract the population and prevent the masses from organizing against their true oppressors. . . the classic strategy of an endangered oligarchy is to divert discontent among the population into nationalistic militarism.
An increased external threat will lead to an increased internal crackdown, which creates the pretext and conditions for a police state. As we have already seen in the first phase of the crackdown on civil liberties since the 'War on Terror' began. . . the global banking cartel are not going to blame themselves, so they will deflect blame to China, a most convenient target.

Comment: Looming losses from ForeclosureGate qualify as the sort of systemic risk warranting the breakup of the too-big-to-fail banks under the new financial reform bill. . . Sixty-two million mortgages are now held in the name of MERS, a ploy that the banks have realized won't work; so Plan B has been to try to fabricate documents assigning the properties to the investment trusts after the fact. . . Interestingly, it wasn't just one bank engaging in this pattern of cover-up and fraud, but many banks, suggesting the sort of "organized crime" that would qualify under the RICO statute. . . If the trusts violate the tax laws, the banks setting them up will owe millions of dollars in back taxes. Whether the banks are out the real estate or the taxes, they could well be looking at insolvency, posing the sort of serious, systemic risk that would bring them under the purview of the new Financial Stability Oversight Council (truth-out.org).
Federal Reserve is selling Paper Gold and buying Physical Gold
October 4, 2010 — A couple of weeks ago, I pitched an idea to some associates of mine who are involved in SERIOUS [tonnage] PRECIOUS METALS procurement—physical metal only—let's just say HUGE money. I asked them if they would be interested in purchasing an 'option'—cash up front—for the exclusive rights [first right of refusal on off-take] of a gold producer [miner] for a set number of ounces for 3—5 years "at the market"—using LBMA pricing [a.m./p.m. fixes] in the future. The answer I got back from my associates was "show us a terms sheet, we definitely have interest."
So, I spoke to a friend who is very close to an intermediate producer who is in the mode of raising money right now. I had them ask the producer if they would have interest—the producer said, "YES, we are interested—but just to let you know—J.P. Morgan has been asking us if we would sell them the same option". . .
The shorts of "paper gold" at J.P. Morgan [the Fed in drag] are selling the daylights out of the paper market and simultaneously buying exclusive rights to producers' future production so they can try to fudge their way through an unmitigated fraud and settle a big enough chunk of their bad bets to keep this "systemically ruinous" precious metals Ponzi scheme alive. . .
Folks would do well to realize how neatly emerging details of Fed surrogate Morgan's "stealth" activity in the bullion market dovetails with their obscene, obsequious activity elsewhere in their derivatives book—particularly their JUMBO TRILLIONS sized interest rate swap positions.
Stealth activity on the part of the Fed—utilizing proxy institutions to generate limitless artificial demand for any and all US Government Debt—effectively gives the Fed control of the long end of the interest rate curve [the bond market] . . .

In Loving Memory of Sister Joan Veon
October 20, 2010 — One of our long-time contributing authors, Sister Joan Veon passed away on October 18, 2010. Back in 2007, Joan was diagnosed with metastasis breast cancer. Because it had spread from the breast into the lymph nodes and spine, she was told her cancer was in a stage four.
"The cancer was God's mercy to me. It was the wake-up call of a lifetime as I had to face myself. Psalm 51:17 says the "sacrifices of God are a broken and contrite heart." The Cross is where we exchange our bitterness and anger for peace and joy found only in Jesus. This is truth. Once I let the anger go, (forgiving myself) I could forgive others. God heard my cry in November, 2007 and provided a measure of strength to a body that could not go on. In that moment of confession, He took away all the pain in my spine which was from the cancer affecting the bones. That's Jesus. At every moment of my journey to wellness, He has provided answers, direction, and life. I am content spiritually, physically, mentally, and emotionally."
"In a world without safety nets it no longer matters what kind of problems we are confronted with: high inflation, the high cost of living, joblessness, sickness, despair, divorce, or the evil men who control the world. Virginity – Part I
In her introduction to "Great Lion of God," a fictitious history of the life of St. Paul in the ancient Roman world, Taylor Caldwell began by quoting Solomon, "There is nothing new under the sun." The Roman empire was declining in the days of Saul of Tarshish as the American Republic [and all Christendom] is declining today—and for the very same reasons:
Permissiveness in society, immorality, the welfare state, endless wars, confiscatory taxation, the brutal destruction of the middle-class, cynical disregard of the established human virtues, principles and ethics, the pursuit of materialistic wealth, the abandonment of religion, venal politicians who cater to the masses for votes, inflation, deterioration of the monetary system, bribes, criminality, riots, incendiarisms, street demonstrations, the release of criminals on the public in order to create chaos and terror leading to a dictatorship in the name of the people, scandals in public office, the loss of masculine sturdiness and the feminization of the people, plundering of the treasury, debt, the attitude that 'anything goes,' the toleration of injustice and exploitation, bureaucracies and bureaucrats issuing evil 'regulations' almost every week, the centralization of government, the public contempt for good and honorable men, and, above all, the philosophy that 'God is dead,' and that man is supreme" (Taylor Caldwell, Great Lion of God (1970), p. xi-xii).
I Corinthians 14:33, "God is not the author of disorder, but of peace." Before the foundation of the world, God created man in His image, and woman in the image of man for the glory of the man, so a deflowered woman has given her virginity to one other than her husband and marred his glory. The one sacred possession she alone can give her husband is her virginity, and before she accepts his proposal of marriage she must confess her unclean living. Should she neglect to do so he can put her away in divorcement for breach of contract when he discovers her shameful deceit, as she is already joined to Tom, Dick, and perhaps even Healthy Harold, so her vow was false (Matthew 5:32). But if she makes confession and he forgives her he takes her responsibility upon his own shoulders.
The banns of all who are to be married together should be announced in Church services on three successive Sundays, the minister announcing the names of the couple and asking, "If any of you know cause, or just impediment, why these two persons should not be joined together in Holy Matrimony, you are to declare it." And again in the marriage ceremony before they take their public vows, "If any man can show any just cause, why they may not lawfully be joined together, let him now speak, or else hereafter forever hold his peace".
Virginity is a matter of righteous honour for both men and women. Like truth and faith it is a precious confidence between intimates unobserved by the world but known to the Lord. Proverbs, 30:18-20, "There are three things which are too wonderful for me to understand—no, four! The traceless path an eagle in the sky; the unseen trail of a serpent upon a rock; the invisible passage of a ship in the midst of the sea; and the first lovemaking of a bridegroom with his virgin wife, which fruitful connection leaves behind no immediately apparent trace. Such also is the way of an adulterous woman, she and her adulterer cannot be convicted of their mysterious accomplishment, for the act is as likely to be detected as eating in one who has afterwards wiped his mouth"?
So the hypocrisy of double-dealing unfaithfulness may be undetected by husband or wife, friends and acquaintances, but the soul thus seared bears the marks of sin in perpetual consciousness, and the only way to relieve the burden from that troubled soul is repentance, confession, and asking forgiveness from those against whom you have trespassed, and only then asking the Lord's forgiveness.
We learn from I Corinthians 11:3-15, "That the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God. Any man praying or prophesying with uncut hair, dishonours his Head, but any woman praying or prophesying with cut hair dishonours her husband and head: for it is the same as if she were shaven [as an adulteress (Numbers 5:18). A woman who cuts her hair has an immoral spirit advertising her repudiation of the authority of God and man]. For if the woman is not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her not cut her hair. The man should not have uncut hair, since he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man. (For man was not made from woman; but woman from the man. Neither was man created for the woman's benefit; but the woman is a by-product made to be a "suitable helper" for man (Genesis 2:20). The woman therefore ought to have the token of uncut hair on her head to show that she is under his authority or jurisdiction because of the angels [or fivefold ministry who will rebuke her for rejecting the authority of God and man]. Nevertheless, in the Lord, woman is not independent of man, and man is not independent of woman [for together they represent Christ and His Bride, the ideal of redeemed humanity, and are mutually dependent in union to multiply natural life]; for as woman was made from man, so man is now born of woman; but all things are from God). Judge for yourselves: is it proper for a woman to worship God without the token of authority on her head? Does not nature itself teach you that uncut hair is degrading for a man [showing he has forfeited his authority as the image and glory of God], but glorious for a woman? For her hair is given to her for an ornament showing she is covered by the authority of God and man [and the man has a right to put his wife away if she cuts her hair]. If any one seems anxious to dispute the matter, we recognize no other practice; neither do the churches of God".
Abraham's faith was imputed to him for righteousness and God gave him the seal of circumcision in confirmation of His Covenant. As all of his natural seed was circumcised, when Israel was trapped at Nuweiba Beach God remembered His Covenant and made a passage through the Red Sea, but He did not recognize the uncircumcised Egyptians who perished presuming to share Covenant blessings (Acts 7:8-36). This will be the fate of foolish virgin in the circle of this Message who try to meet the Lord with no Oil in their lamps; then there will be weeping and wailing, and gnashing of teeth.
Only males were in the Covenant because only males can be circumcised. The women came under the Covenant through marriage, wherefore "when he marries, a man must leave his father and mother so he can be perfectly joined to his wife [and she recognize his sole authority over her], and two shall be one flesh." Paul types natural marriage whereby the husband provides for, sanctifies, cherishes and imparts life to his wife, with the Spiritual wherein Christ imparts His Life and perfects the Church in union with the Word (Ephesians 5:22-33).
Abraham's promised Seed was Jesus Christ so his Spiritual seed are all whose souls are born of the Word for their hour, which is Christ, the Logos (Genesis 17:8; 22:18; Isaiah 53:10; Romans 9:7-8; Galatians 3:16). And every true child of Abraham is circumcised, not of the surplus flesh, but of the heart. The Holy Spirit cuts away the things of the world, and makes you a new creature in Christ Jesus, but without that circumcision you are not in the Covenant (Romans 8:1-16). Since Pentecost, Christian women enter the Covenant by Spiritual union with Christ the Word of the hour, and if they are under the Headship of Christ they will submit themselves to the authority of their own husband and not usurp authority over man (Genesis 3:16; I Timothy 2:8-15).
Women veil themselves when they are being married signifying they are a body with no head. Once they have exchanged vows the bride removes her veil and places it over her husband's shoulders, signifying that not only is she under his dominion—that she has transferred her rights to him—that he is the head—but also that he bears the responsibility and the care and that HE AND HE ALONE—NO ONE ELSE—NO OTHER MAN—NO OTHER POWER—HAS ANY RIGHT AND RESPONSIBILITY. A husband ought to live such a sanctified life before his wife that she can reverence him as a Son of God. And that is why the Church ought to veil and surrender itself to Christ, because He is the Head, and He is the Word (Isaiah 9:6-7). The church is a woman, and the Lord has called His elect and even the foolish virgin out from every one of them because they have rejected the Headship of Christ and He calls them religious prostitutes whose end is to be burned (Revelation 2:20-23; 17:1-5). So His Word says, "Avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the Law; for they are unprofitable and vain. One who is a heretic after the first and second admonition reject; [even if he gives you a new mountain bike] knowing that the election is off and he is subverted, and sins, being condemned of himself" (Titus 3:9-11; Isaiah 61:2; Revelation 22:11-19).
What price is your own soul? Obedience is better than sacrifice. It is "the little foxes that spoil the vine." Those who have been obedient in small things will receive the greater blessings. If you are disobedient the revelation will go over your head and you will find yourself shipwrecked as a manpleaser when you should seek to be approved unto God alone. God's Word calls for a total separation from unbelief.
Eternal means to be without beginning of days or end of life so one cannot receive eternal Life, either you always were eternal and did not realize your true identity until you heard the Word of the hour calling your name from the Lamb's Book of Life, or you never will be eternal. If you are eternal you were an Attribute of God's eternal thinking, one of the angels in the likeness of your glorified appearance—"when the morning stars sang together, and all the Sons of God shouted for joy [at the revelation of their redemption]" (Job 38:7), to whom God said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness." So before God formed man in flesh, in His great thinking he was a theophany like Himself before He was made flesh. And when the first man was formed he was by himself on earth as God had been by Himself eternally. When He said "let us" to all the men and women who were already in His great thinking and foreknowledge, He made (Heb. 'asah') man out of existing material, and He transformed Adam from the Attribute to flesh.
When God created (Heb. 'bara') all of humankind out of nothing but His creative thoughts, He instructed us on how we are to live and govern this planet: "So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and said, Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air and every living thing that moves on the earth" (Genesis 1:26 – 2:17).
But when He (Heb. 'yatsar') molded Adam in flesh and took Eve from his side, the woman being deceived was in the transgression. Reason had overcome obedience to faith and receiving the knowledge of "good and evil" (Genesis 3) they separated themselves from paradise and the Presence of the Lord.
Ecclesiastes 7:26-29 warns against an unchaste woman and her seductive arts, she being a representative of the female sex in general in its worst aspect, women in general are represented as the more corrupt portion of humanity. "I found the woman whose heart is snares and nets [expressed in her looks as expressions of the thoughts of her heart] and whose hands are chains [of voluptuous embraces] more bitter than death. Whoever pleases God will escape her, but the sinner will be caught in the nets and snares of her heart and by her seductive arts. This is what have I found, says the preacher, searching step by step for the conclusion. What my soul sought continually but I have not found: one [righteous] man among a thousand have I found [i.e. the first man, Adam]; but a woman among all these I have not found [because of Eve's deception (Genesis 2:22-25). Thus moral excellence among women, taken as a whole, is more rarely found than among men]. This alone have I found—that God made man upright, but they have sought out many artifices".
"A beautiful woman lacking discretion and modesty is like a fine gold ring in a pig's snout. . . A woman of virtuous character is a crown to her husband: but she who brings shame is rottenness in his bones" (Proverbs 11:22; 12:4).
Brother's who have good wives should thank God for their good wife, even if they are not in the Message. A woman is the best helpmate God could give a man. But a lovely Christian woman who meets the criterion of an unmarried Brother in every way is not his until he takes her to wife and takes her responsibilities on his shoulder. And that's the way this Message is, you can sympathize with It and say It's right, but until you accept the responsibility of total separation from the world and the things of the world and become one with the Message you have no part nor inheritance with Christ's brethren, like the Levites the Lord is our inheritance, the Word alone, as He has promised (Deuteronomy 10:9; Luke 11:35-36). Then the anointing is with you, as it is with the others, and like the Levites you are not counted with the world; not even among the "saved".
When a Brother marries that special woman he has chosen—they are one, and when the reality of Christ is revealed to you personally in His Word, then you are a manifest part of Him through the invisible marriage union, and He is part of you; and together you are one in the Message (John 17:20-26).
God is the real witness in the theocratic marriage and "What God has joined together let not man put asunder" (Matthew 19:6). For when a man is joined together with his wife they are one flesh (Genesis 2:24) thus a virgin bride and groom who honour their vows will forever be chaste virgins because the two are one flesh. Jesus will be the unselfish Friend in a theocratic marriage and brace it against the worldly pressures and strains brought against it. If the man and woman reserve their greatest love for God, put Him first, obey Him first, give Him preeminence on their time, energy and substance, their marriage will not become driftwood on the matrimonial seas.
David on his throne with five hundred wives and Solomon on his throne with his thousand could marry any woman so long as she did not have a living husband, and as many women as they chose. Adam was commanded to multiply and replenish from himself before Eve broke the union of holy wedlock so that multiplication of the race came through the by-product by sex through lust born to die (Job 14:1-6), not through the Word by faith and born to eternal Life. Jesus was born of the spoken Word through a virgin woman without sexual desire as the last Adam in order to fulfill God's original command (Genesis 2:28). So in the millennium there will be One Lord Jesus on His Throne with His many-membered Wife (singular): thousands times thousands reborn by Spiritual multiplication of the spoken Word and created out of the earth by the hand of Almighty God in the resurrection, fulfilling Jesus' prayer of John 17:20-26:
"I am not praying only for My disciples, but for the future believers who will come to Me through their testimony; so that they all may be one; as You, Father, are one in Me, and I am one in You, that they also may be one in us, so that the world may believe that You have sent Me. I have given them the glory you gave Me—the glorious unity of being one in the Word as we are: I in them, and You in Me, all being perfected into one [manifested revelation of the Spirit]; that the world may know that You sent me and understand that You love them as much as You love Me. Father, I want them with Me—these You have given Me—that they may see My glory which You have given to Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world. O righteous Father, the world has not known You, but I have known You, and these know that You have sent Me. And I have made known and will make known to them [the Attributes of] Your Name [(Isaiah 43:3, 11, 14; 44:6, 24; 47:4) Jehovah-Jireh, Jehovah-Rapha, Jehovah-Nissi, Jehovah-Shalom, Jehovah-Raah, Jehovah-Tsidkenu and Jehovah-Shammah which are all manifest in the Supreme Deity of Jehovah-Saviour, whose compound redemptive Name, Lord Jesus Christ, is "the Name above EVERY name that is named, not only in this world, but also in the world that is to come" [(Ephesians 1:21; Philippians 2:9; Colossians 1:16; Hebrews 1:4), "And whatever we do in word or deed we do in the Name of our KINSMAN Redeemer," or we pray in vain (Ephesians 5:20; Colossians 3:17)] so that the love with which You have loved Me may be in them, and I in them".
If you are a part of the Spiritual multiplication of God, you will be at one in the agreement of faith (Amos 3:3; Matthew 4:4; 24:24; John 10:1-5; Revelation 22:17-19).
In Galatians 3:26-29 Paul explains how the multiplication will come through the last Adam, "In Christ Jesus you are all the Sons of God [male and female in yourselves like Adam before Eve was taken from his side] through faith [not sex]. For all of you who have been baptized into union with Christ have been enveloped by Him. There is neither Israelite nor Gentile, there is neither slave nor freeman, there is neither male nor female, because you are all one in Christ Jesus [therefore all of these natural antitheses do not come into account in this relation, for if one is born anew, whatever else he may be, in Christ Jesus he is a Son of God]. And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's offspring and heirs in agreement with the promise".
A minister may not marry a woman who has been touched by man. Leviticus 21:13-14, "he shall not take a widow, or a divorced woman, or profane, or a whore; but he shall take a virgin of his own people to wife." (In Ezekiel 44:22 the injunction not to marry a widow, even that of a priest, is extended from the high priest to the whole body of priests, who in this aspect appear high-priestly as everything on the top of the mountain was most holy and this Scripture concerns the 144,000 elect Israelites reborn under the New Covenant – Ezekiel 43.12). Priestly marriage under the Old Covenant was to be consecrated to rearing up a natural hereditary blessing as the marriage of Christ and His Bride is consecrated to "the ministry of reconciliation as ambassadors for Christ" (II Corinthians 5:18-21; John 1:13-14). What this shows is that our High Priest, of whom the Christian minister is a natural type, is only marrying a virgin to the Word of the hour, not a denominational harlot.
The natural types the Spiritual so that the spirit of physical fornication is the very same spirit that lies in organized religion, which is idolatry, and all fornicators will have their place in the lake of Fire. That is what God thinks of organization. The Roman whore and her daughters will be in the lake of Fire. Denominationalism is a wrong spirit that separates the people of God into hierarchy and laity, a wrong spirit that separates the people from the people. Organization and denominations do this to gain power over the people, who separate themselves from the Word of God by organizing and bring themselves into spiritual adultery (Numbers 31; Revelation 2:14).
As the Ephesian Age was but the seed bed for the tragic Pergamean Age in which the Judaeo-Roman Catholic church would organize in marriage with the Roman state, the Smyrnean Age was the sunshine and rain that nourished the vile corruption that would confirm the church in idolatry which is spiritual fornication, from which she would never rise (Matthew 25:6; Revelation 17:5; 18:4). Death was permeating her root to branch and they that partook of her partook of bitterness and death.
I Corinthians 6:12-20, "Everything is permitted me, but not everything is beneficial. Although all things are lawful for me, I will not be enslaved by anything. Food is meant for the belly, and the belly for food, but someday God will destroy both of them. Yet the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body, and as God raised up the Lord, so will He raise up us by His power. Are you not aware that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I take away the members of Christ, and make them members of a prostitute? Never! Do you not know that he who joins himself with a prostitute becomes one body with her? For Scripture says, "The two shall become one flesh."
This phrase is spoken of the union of a man a woman as they become one flesh in sexual intercourse, even before conception they are one, because conception is merely the fruit of the union that took place at copulation. So even in the case of fornication they are one flesh as if they were married, but one in sin against their own bodies, and they are now under a curse (Galatians 5:19-21; Colossians 3:5-7; I Thessalonians 4:3; Jude 7). "But God and the soul that is joined together with God is one Spirit. Flee fornication. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body but the fornicator sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is within you, which you have from God. You do not belong to yourselves; you were bought with a price, so glorify God with your body".
Having treated the evils in the Church reported to him in correspondence, from chapter seven Paul proceeds to answer questions put to him in the letter from Corinth, and addresses the propriety of marriage and the respective duties of the man and his wife. This subject is closely connected with his earnest warnings against fornication, for not only does it embrace sexual relations but also the depreciation of marriage owing to an ascetic moral prejudice concerning celibacy and disparagement of marriage, and it might be inferred that among the Corinthians there were persons like those spoken of in I Timothy 4:3 "forbidding to marry" as if it were sinful, in opposition both to heathen immoralities, and to the sensualism of Edomite Jewry in this respect.
I Corinthians 7:2-5, "Now concerning the subjects of your correspondence: It is good for a man not to touch [that is to have sexual relations (Genesis 22:6; Proverbs 6:29) with] a woman [of which that occurring within marriage is one kind]. But on account of the temptation to sexual immorality and to prevent fornications, let EVERY MAN have his own wife, and let EVERY WOMAN have her own husband [pointing to monogamy among Christians whereas under the Old Covenant polygamy was permissible]. The husband must render to his wife her conjugal rights, and likewise the wife to her husband. For the wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does; likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does. Do not deprive one another, except perhaps by mutual agreement for a limited time, to devote yourselves to fasting and prayer; then come together again, so that Satan may not tempt you because of your lack of self-control."
Marital intercourse is not the same as the illegitimate connection, but is refined and elevated by the pure love which binds the two parties in life-long and absolute union for the very noblest ends, and of which it is the bodily expression. Hence Paul is here prescribing a veritable cure for the evil passion, and disallowing its indulgence.
Hebrews 13:4, "Let marriage be held in honour by all people in every respect, and the marriage bed undefiled; for fornicators and adulterers God will judge." The marriage bed is potentially defiled by all previous and certainly by all present gratifications without the covenant of marriage. Many who have had liaisons with other partners prior to marriage confess to reminiscing as they are in copulation with their own spouse, thereby committing adultery in their heart and defiling the marriage bed (Matthew 5:27-28).
In I Corinthians 7:25-28, 36-38, Paul gives counsel to parents towards their children in the matter of marriage—especially of daughters—stipulating that Christians should marry one likeminded, and "only in the Lord." Unions between believers and citizens of the world entered into out of carnal complacency, or with an eye to the socioeconomic ladder in hope of a future Emmaus Road conversion commonly gender Spiritual amnesia in the believing partner, so Christian parents should hinder with firmness rather than hope in vain, and endure the immediate family disharmony.
From verse 26 to 35 Paul advises the unmarried "as one who has received mercy from the Lord to be trustworthy." He says that "in view of the present distress [perhaps the famine under Claudius] it is good for a person, whether married or single, to remain as they are," reinforcing what he has already said in verse 24. Those who marry, says Paul, shall incur "trouble in the flesh" (that is, in their outward state, owing to the added cares of husband, wife and children which are perplexing in times of distress), not sin, which is the trouble of the soul. But Paul expresses his paternal benevolence, for he is not ascribing greater moral excellence to the unmarried than to the married, but contrasting the comparative outward ease of one, with the burden of joint responsibilities which will press upon the other by reason of the "present distress . . . but I spare you" the pain of dilating upon the details of the inconveniences of matrimony lest even the incontinent at the peril of lust may be deterred from matrimony.
"But I tell you this, brethren, the (Gk. 'kairos') time is growing short: from now on, let those who have wives live as though they had none; and the mourners as though they were not mourning, and the joyful as though they did not rejoice, and those who purchase as though they had no goods, and those who deal with the world as if they had no use for it. For the present (Gk. 'kosmos') world order is passing away."
"I want you to anxious in nothing. The single person is anxious about the Lord's affairs, and how to please Him, but the married person is concerned for earthly responsibilities, how to please his wife. His interests are divided. The unmarried woman or virgin is interested in the affairs of the Lord, that she may be dedicated to Him both in body and in spirit: but the married woman is concerned for earthly responsibilities, how she may please her husband. I say these things not to deter you from marrying, but to encourage good order and to secure your undivided devotion to the Lord".
The Greek language more carefully defines meaning, thus we find two definitions of "time" in the New Testament. The first word, chronos, (5550 Strong's Concordance) refers to "time as succession, without any moral impact as to the opportunity and accomplishments in that time." The second word is kairos (2540 Strong's Concordance). Kairos time is a time of opportunities and accomplishments, and not just the succession of moments. Chronos time has no challenge or accomplishment at all. Kairos time implies that which time gives an opportunity to do. It can be better understood as "opportune time"; the necessity of accomplishing the task at hand, whether it is convenient or not, must be grasped and understood in order for us to fulfill kairos time. Kairos time is that once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, that second or minute, hour or year, when a golden opportunity is sovereignly given to us by the Almighty. What we do with it can change our lives, the lives of others, a nation, and even the world. It might even save a generation of people from destruction, as it did in the story of Queen Esther who had been made queen "for such a time as this" (Gwen Shaw, End-Time Maidens Magazine, April, 1999. See Newsletter 286 which included input by our precious Sister Joan Veon who was such a blessing and went to be with the Lord last Monday).
Paul was speaking of 'Kairos' time, which is often related to "crisis time," and His admonition was to you and me as much as to the Church at Corinth, for "the last days" is the Messianic Age of redemption and completion that commenced at Pentecost and will continue to the consummation. Paul was encouraging the Corinthians and saints of all Ages to maintain a personal independence of all external worldly relations that would restrict our communion with Christ, so that no conjugal love, no sorrows over disasters and losses, no exultation over good fortune, should be allowed to possess our human spirit so as to impair Divine communion (Hebrews 12:1; I John 2:15-17).
It is particularly important in the present holy convocation wherein "the mystery of God is finished" and we now have the perfect interpretation of God's Word and understand His timetable, that we remain internally free from what is transient, and ready to play our role in the manifestation of the Sons of God. Sin and the hope of earthly inheritance blind and render us insensitive to priorities so that what could be a kairos time in our life becomes merely a chronos time of passing moments until life is over, and it is time to die. The Spirit and the Bride are calling the sleeping virgin to wake up and discern the times, to understand that this is kairos time, it is crisis time, and to grasp every opportunity God gives us in these passing moments (Matthew 25:1-13; Hebrews 3:13-15; Revelation 22:17-19).
In verses 36 to 38 Paul speaks of virgins in particular, addressing himself especially to fathers who are responsible for allowing or disallowing the marriage of their virgin daughters. If the daughter is in her twenties and passing the bloom of youth, thus debarring her from the lawful gratification of her natural feeling as a marriageable woman, "let him do as he pleases; it is no sin to let them marry," the daughter and her suitor. On the other hand, if his daughter has little or no inclination to marry, and is endowed with special gifts to serve the Lord in her virgin state, and delights in such, then it becomes the parent to stand fast against the unwanted solicitation of suitors and relatives and to sustain his virgin daughter as a virgin to devote herself to the Divine calling. "So that he who marries off his virgin daughter does well, and he who does not marry her off does even better." And what Paul has said in relation to virgins, in verses 39 to 40 he also applies to the remarrying of widows. nl656.htm
